Tsun-yan Hsieh is the founder and Chairman of LinHeart Group, a Leadership services firm specialized in Advising boards and Counseling CEOs on issues of succession, leadership trajectory and top team effectiveness. Current mandates include top management coaching and succession in leading Asian companies in Japan, Greater China, India and Singapore.

In a career spanning 30 years with McKinsey, he served clients in as many countries and industries amassing a wealth of experience in corporate transformation and leader development. He joined McKinsey in Toronto and became its Managing Director, Canada. As Chairman of McKinsey’s Professional Development Committee, he introduced apprenticeship and a leadership model that stood the test of time. He returned to Asia in 2000 as Managing Director of ASEAN practice and was Chairman of Asia Client Committee till he retired in 2008 He founded McKinsey’s Leadership Services globally to help clients grow more, better leaders faster. The McKinsey Center for Asian Leadership is part of his leadership legacy.

He is currently an Independent Director of Manulife Financial and Singapore Airlines. Board roles in Singapore included the Singapore International Foundation, the National University of Singapore Business School, the Institute of Policy Studies and the Singapore Symphony. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Leadership at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. In Toronto, he served on the boards of Covenant House and the University Health Network foundation. Mr. Hsieh has an MBA from Harvard. He won double-gold medals at the University of Alberta where he read Mechanical Engineering as a President’s Scholar with a Colombo Plan Award. He is married for 35 years with 2 grown children.
